Kate (Fresh Story) [Season 1-3 Version 0.1.3]

Season 3 – v0.1.3
The first version of Season 3 is ready and available to download. This build contains roughly one tenth of the planned content. It focuses on the main route only. The Paul and Kira branches will arrive later. Some features did not make it into this release, but they will be added in future updates. I am also looking for a UI designer to help refresh the interface.

Save transfer from Season 2
To carry your choices into Season 3, download the latest build of Season 2 on the same device, load your last save, and play to the end. Ren’Py will store your variables locally and Season 3 will read them when you start a new game. There are not many dependencies yet, so players without a transfer should still have a correct experience.

Quest system changes
The quest module was rewritten from scratch because the old one caused translation issues. Minor problems may remain. I will fix them during the week.

Audio and UI
I will add sounds and music during the week. Some interface tweaks may also appear.

Cafe minigame
Right now it is an introduction to the mechanics. I will expand the content and functionality in the next update.

Known issue
Sometimes quests in the journal can “stick” and do not switch. A temporary workaround is to press the Map button. A proper fix is in progress.

This is the “Steam” Version of Kate, they are essentially the same game, only the main character’s name has been changed and is no longer Kate.

Kate faces serious new challenges as Harry and his team demand she repay her debt, putting her in a difficult position. Tom offers a part-time job, but the task involved is beyond what Kate is willing to do. In dire need of money, Kate finds herself faced with a difficult choice. At the same time, she needs to get her hands on an important recording from Harold to gain leverage over Harry.

Season 2 – v0.5.1
“Kate, Denis, Archie, and Rosa start working together. Oscar, having got rid of Amanda, merges the departments and optimizes them by firing unnecessary employees. The team goes on a business trip with an important mission: to find out the intentions of the branch managers and prevent Amanda’s possible return. At the same time, Kate faces internal difficulties that she has to overcome.”

Season 1 – v1.01
The differences between the Steam version and the original:
– The main character is now named Diana.
– Liam is a new character.

Season 2 – v0.4.3
“New guests are arriving at the cafe where Kate works, but there is danger associated with them. The fate of her long relationship with Archie hangs in the balance, and Kate faces a difficult choice. At the same time, misunderstandings between Kira and Kate reach their peak and the conversation that has been delayed must take place right now.”

– In the Russian version of the game, I fixed errors with character names, so everything should be correct now.
– We’ve also replaced the message module, which should improve the display of Kate’s correspondences.
– In the Android version, I’ve adjusted the text position and removed the background below the text to make your gaming experience even more pleasant.
– In addition, I am happy to announce that we have added a Spanish translation done by ktemanuel. I can’t guarantee the quality of the translation, but I hope that Spanish-speaking players will appreciate this new feature.

Season 2 – v0.1
The continuation of Kate’s story is here. Now in FHD quality. 12 new animations and nearly 200 new images in the first update of this season. The sequel is coming soon.
